Night creatures

 

They sleep deep down in the pitch dark sea

All they really want is to be free

Not to be stuck with a life in the night

Forced to see the world in the moon light

 

When these creatures come up to the surface

You have all the reasons to be nervous

From the bottom of the sea they rising up in bubbles

Get away from the water or you are in big troubles

 

They are creatures in the night

Bound to haunt without the light

They want your blood and eat your heart

Stick their teeth in your bones and rip you apart

 

The moon is rising

It is time to flee

Home, far away from the sea

You hear them sing

Calling out in the night

Lining up for the fight

Remember, they are chasing

So you don’t get captured

And can’t live your next chapter

 

When the sun is coming up over the waves

The creatures crawling back down into the caves

Every person is breathing easy in the sun

But they are preparing for next nights run

 

Every year in the village near the lake

They pay tribute to the souls the creatures take

Mothers, fathers and children no one goes safe

All they want is the chance to have the creatures strafe
